“Here are the apples at last!”

The fruit of an apple is the most symbolic of all fruits! An apple has always been a subject of discussions of life situations. Beginning from the Adam’s apple and the Apple of discord and up to the problem of love when they say they “look for one’s second half” in the problem of love.
            Enjoying apples all year round, people  used to its wonderful taste: sometimes it is sweet – astringent, sometimes aromatic – sugary, sometimes refreshing, sometimes slightly sour.
            And have you ever noticed in what place an apple has the most concentration of taste – permanently at the top of the ovary. One of the secrets of an apple is that it should be eaten with seeds, only then you will take its real power.
            Before biting an apple we enjoy its beauty. We heat it in our hands and make just a little bite – opening the door, leading into unknown taste of delight.
            It’s a great pleasure to paint apples. They are always main heroes of the painting and they call us to admire their view. “I’m  green and glossy”, “I’m vinous with violet patina”, and “Me, I’m  sunny-yellow with  the smell of pine-apple”

PATINA

Patina is a work of time, it’s a noble coating on the jugs, different vessels, coffee pots, on silver and bronze candlesticks and plates made of German silver.
The work of an artist painting still lives is straightly connected with collecting of subjects from ancient times: if it is an old jug, decorated with the plant bas-relief or a coffee mill, made of mahogany or mahogany-brown colour wood, different kinds of wine bottles with trade mark or  porcelain dishes for fruits with hand made painting.
All these subjects are valuable thanks to their history and they carry the spirit of the past inside them. And what is more, they must be friendly on the canvas, they must support each other with the colour, shape and arrangement. An example of such cooperation are the bottles of the still life “The glass society”. In the frieze, the shadow of one subject
which stumbles on the light of another one, makes the spectator follow the idea of the artist and participate in the drawn performance, the train of which spreads from the deepness of the past, stops in the present and rushes ahead to the unexplored.

“Physalis – airy armenian cherry”

These refined fruits –lanterns inspire artists with their exquisite uncommonness of the shape and of the brightness of colour. There can be placed fruits of different colours and tint: light green and goldish-yellow, scarlet and bright vinous on one and the same brunch.  The Armenian cherry has an unusual construction: inside of a rustling lantern there hides itself a round fruit that resembles a sour-sweet  melon, as to the taste.
The admiration of an eye the scarlet colour of the physalis can be compared either with  the tongues of flame and with the flame-coloured sun set or with the field of blossomed poppies.. And any delight from the beauty of Nature heats our hearts and make wonderful moments of our lives stop!

“Planet Punika Granatum”

The fruit of a Pomegranate can’t be called otherwise but a “planet”.
Everything inside the pomegranate exits and moves according to wonderful laws or neighborhood in the Universe
Having looked inside the broken fruit we realize a commandment in miniature “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”.           
It’s a pleasant neighboring, inner talk, patterned arrangement of purple seeds – all this causes delight!  
And thus a question appears: “Why is it not the same among people?”
Artists like to paint the fruit of a Pomegranate as a symbol of focus to common understanding and love. And some Pomegranate seeds thrown on the canvas, decorate it with sunny reflections.

Study Painting.

Each man who has self respect has his own space in the house – it’s his study. This room is especially for solitude, for separation from outer manifestations of life, from vanity and non planned deeds.
Here you won’t find place for non controlled emotions and bad mood. But here rules the spirit of intellect, creative beginnings and concillation with the finished work!
Comfort and harmony in the study are necessary for the flight of thoughts and intuitional discernment of his owner.
The artist’s paintings, being the inspiring compositional centre of the study space, are very helpful.
Pictures of ancient cards, quotation of the drawings that belong to the masters of Renaissance, manuscripts, geographical measuring tools, fragments of refined architecture – this all accessories’ reflecting the motion of Man’s intelligence since early ages!

The Middle of Summer

            That is the very peak in the currency of a year, which you were during cold snowy evenings.
            The goodness of sun beams, snow-white cumulus, azure sky and tender sea surf.
            That is the time for relaxation and the whole unity with nature. And what fruits and apples does July bring? Fragrant black currents, honey peaches, gooseberry impregnated with the sun, and transparent sweet grapes.
            An artist can’t help expressing all this magnificence.
            In the heat of the summer, decorative little pumpkins of different sorts are very nice! There are in shape of mushrooms with scarlet hats in shape of the medieval bottles with narrow necks and some of them look as a pear painted half by half.
            This beauty calls to set it down on the canvas as a recollection about the most fruit-bearing season of a year.

The poppy prime.

A huge bouquet of bright scarlet poppies!
If you are lucky to carry it up to the jug with water to paint, you can watch the motion of the flower from its birth to its fading. Till the buds break and free new scarlet petals, other flowers stand already in beauty in their party clothes with play of purple and red with black disseminations of the core and elegant stamens. Here
comes the time for petals to fall down, but even here they please your eyes with their beauty.
And how noble are the inflorescence, left after the flower has lost its petals!
The mountain poppies’ boxes-inflorescences remind of the medieval castles’ tops. Inside them there ripen seeds for the new poppy harvest.
Such a constant flow of life of a plant shows the artist on his canvas, offering the spectator to realize the mystery of being and three -dimensional vision of the flow of life!
